Roman Reigns has been all about business in the WWE no matter what since coming back in August 2020. He’s been the Universal Champion just a week after that comeback for over two years. Plus, he also defeated WWE Champion Brock Lesnar at Wrestlemania 38 Night Two to unify the WWE and Universal Championships.
He’s also having Paul Heyman by his side who is one of the most (if not the most) successful managers in the history of the professional wrestling business to provide backup to him. The ECW Legend has worked with some of the top talents in the industry over the years. The unprecedented pairing with WWE’s Tribal Chief took the duo to a level that’s probably impossible to top in the future.
Roman Reigns Achieves One More Milestone As Dual Champion In WWE
Before this partnership began, Roman Reigns used to be one of the most polarizing figures in the wrestling world for a long time. WWE wanted him to be fed as the biggest babyface player on the roster as well as the company but a major portion of the WWE Universe refused to accept him as the leading star after John Cena.
Roman Reigns: What Is The Full Name Of The Top WWE Superstar?
Roman Reigns received a lot of hate during his babyface run
A chunk of those people targeted him constantly through various social media platforms and the experience was nasty. Speaking with Logan Paul on the latter’s Impaulsive Podcast, Roman Reigns opened up about the hate in old times on the internet. Thankfully, though he never had to deal with haters in real life,
“I’ve been fortunate. The hate, we talked about earlier where it can get crazy. Even when it was at its worse, nothing ever happened in real life. It’s all respect and love in real life but on that Internet, boy they will spew some [shit]. They’ll come in with some negativity on the internet. But in real life, never.” (quotes courtesy Sescoops)
Moving on, Roman Reigns also spoke about the criticism on the internet and how he deals with it. Back in the day, he used to lose his cool over the issue but being mature is a thing, and losing his cool isn’t happening, anymore. He’s the longest-reigning champion in the modern history of the WWE and with that reign, he must have learned to deal with hate like a responsible person.
