The current WWE Universal champion Roman Reigns who is also a five times WWE World Champion recently looked back at he is very went match for the WWE championship against Triple H from WrestleMania 32 where he hit Stephanie Mcmahon with a spear.
WrestleMania 32 is considered as one of the weakest WrestleMania ever. The main event of the night, Triple H vs Roman Reigns you also considered as one of the worst WrestleMania main events of all time. Nobody wanted to see this match since fans were fed up seeing Reigns getting over pushed.
Roman Reigns Remembers Hitting Stephanie McMahon At WrestleMania 32
The feud that was built was not bad at all. The back story and everything was good, it was just not the right men to feature on the main event. WWE fans were badly wanting to get rid of Rain from the main event. But that did not happen in steel we kept getting Roman Reigns on the main events of each and every Wrestlemania. Right now he has finally earned the recognition but back then it was very difficult for him.
The only pop of the night was Roman accidentally hitting Stephanie McMahon with spear. Stephanie Mcmahon was one of the most evil heals of the time and she did his role perfectly. Fans were dying to see her getting hit, and when it finally happened, fans loved it.
Roman Reigns who is a five times WWE World Champion recently spoke to Sports Illustrated Media Podcast where he looked back at he is very went match for the WWE championship against Triple H from WrestleMania 32 where he hit Stephanie McMahon with a spear. He said;
“She took it like a champ. She did a great job, and I didn’t really pull any of the physicality out,” Reigns said. “She took a full-on spear, and that’s how you should do it in the main event of WrestleMania.
“She was obviously a little bit sore and not very happy about that, but I think everybody after a main event of a WrestleMania is ecstatic of going through that process, and the adrenaline rush of the performance and then also celebrating a phenomenal moment with the live audience, everybody watching at home.
“It was one of those things that I think she got over really quickly and enjoyed the success of being a part of that main event with her husband, Triple H.
“And then also I think, for her to be a part of that performance with her own father watching on, Vince McMahon, and seeing this whole spectacle go down and watching her be a part of the greatest live event in entertainment history, it was a special moment, I think for everybody. I’ll say she wasn’t ecstatic, but I think she was happy with the moment, to be a part of that”
