The current and two times WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns recently made a statement that he carried the whole WWE during the Thunderdome era of the promotion.
WWE was forced to organise their shows behind closed doors because of the covid-19 pandemic for over a year. Finally, fans have come back to live shows, and WWE is more fun to watch now. In this time period, the point is very much clear that professional wrestling is nothing without live crowd.
Roman Reigns Says He Carried WWE During Thunderdome Era
Because of this horrible pandemic, WWE had to relinquish a lot of plans. We watched two of the worst RAW after Wrestlemanias because of the covid-19 pandemic. Not enough returns or debuts were made either in the Thunderdome. In fact, WWE had to release a lot of workers because of the pandemic.
Without any doubt Roman Reigns was one of the best performers during the Thunderdome era of WWE. He is the only WWE wrestler not to lose any match in 2021 yet. He is more dominant champion than Bobby Lashley without any doubt. And he is finally in the position in which the WWE wanted to see him for a long time; the face of the promotion.
WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns recently spoke with CBS Sports where he made a statement that he carried the whole WWE during the thunderdome era of the promotion. He said;
“That’s my legacy coming out of the ThunderDome. Hands down, without question, it can be debated for great content on social media and WWE.com to put these polls and try to make an argument.
“But there’s no argument. There’s been nobody to ever carry the WWE product like I have over the past year and I stand on that. You can throw anybody out. We can try and be nice and say, ‘Oh, Bayley! She just got hurt. She was the best.’ Come on, let’s not lie to ourselves. The Tribal Chief has carried the WWE for well over a year now and there’s no denying it.”
