Roman Reigns wasn’t in attendance on this past episode of Smackdown on FOX which took place at the Legacy Arena in Birmingham, Alabama. He was back in action during the very next day’s live event in Jackson. Then on last night, he also featured in the main event match in another house show that went down from his hometown of Pensacola, Florida.
Since Roman Reigns was attending his hometown crowd, obviously there had been cheers for him irrespective of his heel status. The WWE Universal Champion went on to break on-screen character to thank fans in attendance on the Sunday live event.

The top WWE Superstar took the mix and showed gratitude towards the WWE Universe for showing up and passionately supporting the company in the live event despite the ongoing pandemic.
Roman Reigns mentioned how the WWE Superstars are on the road, all the time to entertain people. But they are also blessed enough to be able to perform in front of thousands of fans cheering or booing for them. This is something that he feels blessed about.
“How do I express how I really feel? How do I keep this concise and not crazy long and have a good message. And, I don’t have to say anything. Just like – a massive amount of gratitude. In fact, I think we talked about this on Friday night on FOX’s SmackDown, but man I feel blessed.”

Roman Reigns gave props to his hometown crowd
Roman Reigns also proceeded to address Pensacola city as “best kept secret in the whole world” via the following promo,
“I run into New Yorkers, people from L.A. and they’re like ‘where you from?’ and I say I’m from a small little beach town. Pensacola is the most beautiful built … best keep secret in the whole world,” Reigns proudly said. “It really it is! The Tribal Chief ain’t scared to go on vacation, you know what I mean? I’ve been to a lot of different beaches, I’ve been to a lot of different small towns.” (quotes courtesy Wrestling INC)
The Pensacola live event saw The Bloodline (Roman Reigns and The Usos) defeating Drew McIntyre, Kofi Kingston, and Xavier Woods in a Six-Man Tag Team Match in the headliner. The 2021 King of the Ring winner, Xavier Woods was making his in-ring return during this tag match after suffering a leg injury back in January.
Since the remaining member, Big E expected to miss at least 6 months of in-ring action, it appears Woods may replace his injured stablemate in WWE’s storyline perspective to make a tag match happen at WrestleMania 38.
