It seems to be a perfect situation for The Rock to make the comeback and oppose the idea.
From the get-go of Roman Reigns’ heel-turn, it was assumed that WWE was trying to plant seeds for this dream match between the two generation’s superstars. WrestleMania 37 seemed a likely place where the showdown could take place. It was rumored that WWE booked Mania 37 in LA just because they wanted The Rock on the card.

This match was often teased as far back as when the initial announcement came WrestleMania’s home being the SoFi Stadium. Ringside News previously reported in July that the venue needed to be changed amid the coronavirus pandemic. The Wrestling Observer Newsletter noted that nothing is locked down between the Two Samoan Superstars. But things seem to be falling into place if The Rock can take out some time from his busy schedule, next year. After all, he’s quite eager to face his cousin, Roman Reigns in the first place.
