Ronda Rousey was touted to be the biggest mainstream attraction for the WWE in the history of its women’s division. Her presence led to the birth of the one and only all-women PPV event in WWE history and the first-ever All-Women Wrestlemania main event. Apparently, that match might have marked the end of her wrestling stint.

The former WWE RAW Women’s Champion recently spoke on a Facebook Live session and noted the current status of her WWE contract. According to Ronda Rousey, she is unsure whether she is still technically employed by the company.

“I technically — I don’t think I am. But who knows? That’s a question for the lawyers,” she stated. (quotes courtesy Post Wrestling)

Ronda Rousey also mentioned that she still keeps in touch with Stephanie McMahon regardless of the status of her contract. But when it comes to Stephanie’s husband, Triple H, Ronda hasn’t kept up with him and the latter’s heart surgery is a big reason behind this,

“I actually keep in touch with Steph [McMahon] because she’s sweet and we send each other baby pictures. I haven’t talked to Triple H since before he had his — he had like heart surgery or something. Hope he’s doing all right.”

Ronda Rousey uncertain about her WWE return

Ronda Rousey was obviously asked in the past about a potential return to the WWE. The positive thing is that it could potentially happen, down the line but the UFC Hall of Famer was unable to provide much information on this topic,

“I don’t know. When I feel like it. Eventually, when I feel like. I don’t know.”

The original WWE contract of Ronda Rousey expired back on April 10, 2021, which was the first night of Wrestlemania 37. It remains unknown whether or not the company re-signed her or made any sort of extension to the deal to keep their association intact.

As noted, Ronda Rousey has been away from WWE since competing and dropping the Raw Women’s Title, back at the WrestleMania 35 main event in 2019. At one point, she was expected to be a part of WrestleMania 37.

WWE president & Chief Revenue Officer Nick Khan stated this past April in the lead-up to WrestleMania 37 that The Baddest on the Planet would be returning to TV in the near future, but then she announced her pregnancy within a few days. Rousey has given birth to her newborn baby, La’akea, a few months ago.
