Ronda Rousey seems to get closer to a WWE return, sooner than later if the recent reports are to go by. The former Raw Women’s Champion is gearing up for something, although the reason behind the same is not confirmed. But the recent photos of her training in the ring have certainly pointed to her return to in-ring competition.

Additionally, it was also observed how Ronda Rousey tweeted out that she can’t wait to face Natalya again while WWE posted a video of these two’s match on WWE Raw from 2018. She was also recently seen training with Ariel Toombs, daughter of WWE Hall Of Famer “Rowdy” Roddy Piper. These are not just coincidence as reported by a reliable source.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter noted that Ronda Rousey’s recent training sessions are definitely targeted for a return to WWE, down the road. The current assumption is that WWE will want to wait for live crowds to return prior to bringing her back on TV or else a marquee name like her could be wasted.

While organic reaction to her return should be worth watching, WWE may not have that time to wait for the former champion’s return. In the absence of some major names, the Women’s Division is suffering a lot. So Ronda’s return could be eyed to fill up that void. Recent reports also claim that another former champion Melina is also being called up at the age of 41 after a gap of nine years.

Ronda Rousey has already stated that she will never be performing in a full-time role in the WWE as the schedule gets much hectic. But live tours of WWE have been totally nixed due to COVID-19. This could be exciting news for the UFC Hall of Famer who could now expect to go through a light schedule.

With that being said, the Baddest Woman On The Planet’s hiatus could be coming to a close after almost one and a half years. Ronda Rousey has been off WWE television since the main event of WrestleMania 35. She supposedly went into an impregnation vacation but that wasn’t the case. During the hiatus, WWE presented an up-close look at her lifestyle through the Total Divas reality series.
