Ronda Rousey has a dream debut year in the WWE after achieving a Hall of fame career in the UFC. The better part of her pro-wrestling stint has passed by as the Raw women’s champion. She suffered only one clean pinfall loss during this entire time. It happened the history-making Wrestlemania 35 main event where the female superstars fought over dual championships. Becky Lynch was the one to defeat her and send her to a pre-determined hiatus.

But prior to that, Ronda Rousey has been one of the main reasons to tune up to Monday Night Raw, each week. She has rivalries against the likes of Alexa Bliss, Nia Jax, Nikki Bella, Sasha Banks and more during the short stint. Most importantly, she had the main-event storyline with Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch. But it was that one angle that she desperately wanted to kick-start her WWE career.
Ronda Rousey recently had a sitdown with UFC’s Megan Olivi to reveal that one particular feud that she requested from the WWE officials. This goes way back to four years back when she had an appearance at Wrestlemania 2015. The Rock invited her into the ring where she would end up taking down Stephanie McMahon and Triple H. This ended up being the best moment of that year.
Coming back to the WWE in 2018, Ronda Rousey wanted to finish that storyline,
“When I first came to the organization, I was like, ‘Hey, I’d really like to do this for a couple of months, I’m gonna have a baby soon, so this isn’t forever’ but my one request when we first started was I wanted to finish my storyline with Stephanie, so that was my one request because I love Stephanie McMahon so much, which is so funny because we’re supposed to hate each other’s guts, but I love her! Oh my god, I love her so much!” (courtesy wrestlingINC.com)
They eventually went on to deliver a huge Wrestlemania match that marked wrestling debut of Ronda Rousey. She teamed up with Kurt Angle to defeat Triple H and Stephanie McMahon at the biggest event of the year.
This rivalry helped ‘the baddest woman on the planet’ to learn a lot about wrestling. During that phase, he had the opportunity to train with wrestling maestro, Triple H. The Game taught her the basic things of pro-wrestling that Ronda Rousey reminisced,
“It was such an incredible experience. Like, Triple H taught me how to lace up my boots. He literally was like, ‘Oh no, you wanna do it from the outside in.’ I’m like, ‘Triple H is showing me how to lace up my boots. How can I not succeed in this situation where I have all of the best people in this business set in place to help me succeed?’”
