ToggleLA Knight had a month long feud with Bray Wyatt soon after joining the main roster and adopting his famous character. He joined the main roster last year with a completely new character called Max Dupri. It was a gimmick where he played the role of a talent agent of a team called Maximum Male Models.
LA Knight himself revealed previously that there were concerns about his age when he made his main roster debut last year when he was 39 and that was the reason why he was given a new non wrestling character and he would not have wrestled very often either. He spoke to Daily Mail last June where he revealed that WWE was concerned about his age. Here is what he said;

Royal Rumble Showdown LA Knight Opens Up About His Match Against Bray Wyatt
“I come up for a dark match, I get the attention of the right people; ‘hey, who is this guy?’ but then the age thing comes up – [whispers] ‘oh no, he’s 40, danger’. But I’m not the average 40-year-old. I haven’t gone through the ringer. I haven’t had a bunch of surgeries or injuries, knock on that wood. I’ve lived a good, youthful life in a certain sense, and I’ve taken care of myself in a way I would say most don’t.”
But also as Triple H became in charge of WWE creative, he decided to scrap the previous talent agent character and bring his famous LA Knight gimmick. As soon as the character returned to the screen he started wrestling in ring and he was doing an excellent job. Upon his early feuds on the main roster, there is one with Bray Wyatt.

LA Knight Faced Bray Wyatt At Royal Rumble
It turned out to be one of the worst feuds of the recent years. It was a completely pointless feud where we had no idea what was the problem between these two athletes among each other. They even had a match at Royal Rumble which is considered to be one of the worst matches in the recent days. Speaking with Metro recently, Knight remembered this rivalry and the feud;
“It’s a challenge in a lot of ways, because it’s out of my wheelhouse, a lot of the more spooky stuff,” said Knight. “But at the same time, when you can get out of your comfort zone a little bit and do some different things, that’s how you grow, that’s how things get better. And also when you can adapt and make things work like that, it also just … I guess speaks to your own abilities, and kind of that whole thing, for the SmackDown audience, helped put me on the map.”

The feud did not last long and slowly Knight wait want to be one of the most popular stars of WWE and today, it would not be wrong if we call in the most over wrestler of the promotion. Last saturday at SummerSlam he won the SummerSlam Battle Royal which might turn out to be the beginning of his upcoming big push which he definitely deserves.
