Ruby Soho Reflects On The AEW Moment Where She Peaked

Ruby was a big star in the independent circuit and WWE fans were quite excited to see her when she first arrived to the promotion. But WWE never treated her as a potential main event star and they could never utilise her.

A lot of fans kept on saying that Ruby was holding Liv Morgan back for quite a long time. But that cannot be true. WWE already gave one try to push Liv as a single star. And that did not work out at all.

At first, the plan looked quite brilliant. But the execution was so bad that WWE had to scrap the plan completely soon after coming up with it. After that they paired her with Ruby once again and both of them were jobbing together.

By this point, no one had any hope left with either of them. And when Ruby was released from the WWE earlier last year, everybody thought this might be the end of Liv Morgan in WWE as well.

But Liv bounced back. She actually managed to do the unthinkable. Just the day after hall Tag Team partner Ruby was released from WWE, the promotion started to push her as a singles competitor. Her push started from Friday Night Smackdown but it became more prominent when she moved to Monday Night RAW.

She started to be treated as a main event star in the red brand of the WWE and she remained the top opponent of Becky Lynch for the WWE Raw Women’s Championship. Even though she failed to beat Becky Lynch but she remained a top star of the promotion, and it does not seem like she would be dropped from that position too soon.

“At Double or Nothing when Rancid played me out, I peaked. I will never be cooler than that moment ever. I should have just retired because it’s all downhill from there. That was honestly something that I never thought in a million years that I would ever be able to experience. I’m so grateful to Tony Khan for orchestrating that and making that happen.”
