Sami Zayn is currently working on Monday Night RAW as the WWE Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champion along with his best friend Kevin Owens and without any doubt he is one of the most famous stars in the world of professional wrestling today.
He had been working in WWE for a decade and this is the first time he earned so much love and respect from the WWE Universe. Sami Zayn mostly earned this fame after becoming a part of the Bloodline storyline and he remained a part of it till WrestleMania 39. This storyline made him the most over wrestler in WWE today.
Sami Zayn Makes Shocking Revelation: How He Almost Ruined The Best WWE Storyline Ever
But Sami recently made a shocking revelation when he admitted that he almost ‘Abandon Ship’ with The Bloodline storyline at one point. If he actually did it, we could have never got the best out of him. Speaking on WWE After The Bell with Corey Graves, he revealed the following;
“Yeah, there were, and I can’t mention names [laughs],” Zayn said. “There were doubts as to whether it should even happen. Even in its early infancy stage of it all. Then, for me, going back to a question about impatience. There was a point when I was actually very impatient with the storyline and I was almost ready to abandon ship and say, ‘Okay, we need to start moving on in a different direction if this isn’t going to go where it needs to go.’
“For me, it all hinged on me and Roman getting together finally and the swerve being, ‘Roman likes this guy.’ You expect him to not like him, but he meets him, and he likes him. That was the money of the whole thing.” Said one half of the WWE Undisputed Tag Team Champions.
“He buys in. Roman drives the whole story, and it works very well, even if he’s not there, but because he’s the main antagonist, his decision at the next point in the story is going to drive and propel the story in whatever direction it’s going. You needed him involved.” Concluded The former two times WWE Intercontinental Champion.
The Bloodline storyline with Sami Zayn actually started as a comedy segment but it turned out to be the best storyline in WWE history. The storyline is still going on but Sami Zayn is not a part of it anymore. Still, things are getting more and more exciting every day.
