Former two times WWE United States Champion Samoa Joe who is the current and three times NXT Champion recently talked about her separated two runs on the NXT and he compared both of his NXT runs.

Joe joined WWE in 2015 and he started walking in the NXT. From the very first day of debuting in the NXT he was portrayed as a very strong individual. He won the NXT Championship 2 times. On the first occasion he defeated Finn Balor, and on the second he took the title away from Shinsuke Nakamura.

Samoa Joe Compares His Two NXT Runs

He joined the main roster after two years run in the NXT and he had been portrayed as a main event star at first but soon he was dropped to a mid card role. He won the WWE United States Championship two times in total in the main roster. After having a four years of successful run in the main roster, WWE decided to release him.

But it was reported that people age was really unhappy with the release of Joe. WWE decided to bring him back again. This time he came back to the NXT and soon after coming to the promotion he challenged Karrion Kross for the NXT Champion. At the Takeover 36 he defeated Kross to win his third NXT Championship.

Samoa Joe who is the current and a record three times WWE NXT champion recently spoke to VIBE & Wrestling where he compared his two NXT runs. He said;

“Yeah, we’re not doing as many shows — for obvious reasons — so I’m a little less active. Obviously, I would love to be more a little more active, safety permitting. Completely different faces [for me].

“Even when I came back to NXT the first time, there was a lot of familiar faces around me. Now, I’m genuinely dealing with a lot of people that I’ve never had a lot of experience with.

“The majority of the roster; little bit younger, little bit newer, just kind of coming into their own so it is kind of newer environment for me this time around.”
