Former two times WWE NXT Champion Samoa Joe who is also a former TNA Heavyweight Champion of the World recently spoke about his match against Karrion Kross at NXT Takeover 36.

The main roster run of Karrion Kross has been a failure so far. Being the NXT champion he lost two out of three matches in the main roster which is disastrous. A lot of fans and critics are saying the post that Kross received in the NXT was too early, this is the reason why WWE is determined to push him as a mid card in the main roster.

Samoa Joe On His Match Against Karrion Kross At NXT Takeover 36

The opinion might be right, and we agree to some extent that cross was overpushed and the push he received was too early in his career, so the decision was right. But being the NXT champion jobbing to a jobber and losing to Keith Lee who completely dominated him was a terrible look for the NXT Championship. WWE should have waited for him to drop the title before joining the main roster.

The only way to save the reputation of the NXT title to some extent is for Kross to drop the title to Samoa Joe at the NXT Takeover 36 and in in a rematch he needs to get manhandled by Joe and not to return to NXT Ever After. He defeated almost every individual in the NXT, but he was a huge failure in the main roster, so he must drop the title before it’s too late.

Former TNA Heavyweight Champion of the World Samoa Joe who is also a former two times WWE NXT Champion recently spoke to After The Bell Podcast where he talked about his match against Karrion Kross at NXT Takeover 36 He also talked about some of his injuries. He said;

“It was a much worse type of injury than I think I had dealt with before.  It scared me.  It scared a lot of people that care about me too. They were very, very concerned.  It became very easy to make that the focus as far as what I wanted to do, and when I wanted to come back.

“It inevitably all hinged on that, just making sure I was alright, and making sure I was feeling good.  When I came back to the ring, I didn’t want to come back in a 70% capacity.  I wanted to make sure I can come back and give the best I could to the fans.”
