After weeks of altercations following her AEW Dynamite: Grand Slam debut with Dr. Britt Baker, Saraya’s in-ring return has finally been confirmed. On the November 9 episode of AEW’s flagship show, she made it official that she’s been 100% medically cleared by doctors to wrestle. Her global fanbase and colleagues are very happy that she’ll be stepping back into the ring again.
Saraya will make her much-anticipated return to the ring as a wrestler at the AEW Full Gear PPV on November 19 in Newark, New Jersey. She will take on Dr. Britt Baker in a one-on-one matchup. This will be the first match for the former Paige since December 2017, on a night she collapsed in the ring due to a neck concussion that also ended her wrestling career for good.

Considering that was a severe concussion, Saraya is being monitored by the doctors and she will have to take it easy on her body while coming back to wrestling capacity, again. Speaking on The Sessions podcast hosted by Renee Paquette, the anti-diva took us through her journey of medical clearance by doctors.
Saraya revealed that she was fully cleared to return to action in time for Halloween 2022. Prior to that, she had been cleared for certain in-ring capacity but there was still some sort of forbiddance in terms of taking bad bumps in the ring. But the most recent appointment with her doctor confirmed that she is fully ready to take bumps and participate in full matches.

Saraya had full trust on the doctor who cleared her for action
The AEW wrestler noted that she specifically sought after this doctor for clearing since he’s known to work with professional athletes. Due to this, she trusted his views on her the real-time condition of her neck. WWE Superstars like Edge or Stone Cold took multiple years before returning from neck concussions and Saraya didn’t want to take any chance, either.
About the current condition of her neck, Saraya offered the following comments during the conversation,
“I got the x-rays done. ‘These are great, but we have to triple check with CT scans and MRI.’ I did the CT Scan and MRI within the same hour. It was very quick. He sat there, we went through them all, and he went, ‘You’re cleared.’
I burst into tears. ‘Are you serious?’ I was still asking questions like about the fluid around my neck. It was just the fluid was back. The fusion was perfect, there were no fractures above or below.”
Saraya also shared a piece of advice given to her by the doctor who cleared her for a return to action and that she should start by competing in one match per month following this upcoming return to action. If and when she feels anything around her neck, she would immediately have to go for a hiatus until further diagnosis.
