Former WWE star and a former two times WWE Divas’ champion Paige who is currently going by her real name Saraya in the AEW recently revealed how WWE Legend Triple H reacted when he got to know that her WWE contract was not renewed and she was leaving the promotion.

Paige was one of the biggest prospects of WWE from the very first day of her signing with the promotion. WWE clearly had big plans for the British professional wrestler. She grew up in a wrestling family where most of our family members were wrestlers. So we can say that wrestling was in her blood.

Saraya Reveals Triple H Did Not Want Her To Leave WWE

At a very young age she got to sign for WWE after spending years on the independent circuit and she won a lot of championships on the indies before signing with WWE. She spent a number of years on the NXT which was the development Territory of WWE before arriving on the main roster in 2014.

She won the WWE Divas Championship on her debut night which clearly made a big mark. She was portrayed as one of the biggest names of the promotion throughout her WWE career. After the women’s revolution in WWE she was given a new role where she formed a stable named Absolution. But this was the beginning of the downfall of her career.

In December 2016 she got a deadly neck injury during a house show which almost ended her career. She was forced to retired from in ring action which was the heart breaking for her fans. She kept on fighting the injury and finally she is Back in Action but not with WWE anymore as the promotion decided not to renew her contract. She is now signed with AEW and she is working under as Saraya in the promotion.

Paige who is currently going by her real name Saraya in the AEW recently spoke to Metro where she revealed how WWE Legend Triple H reacted when he got to know that her WWE contract was not renewed and she was leaving the promotion. She said;

“He was like, ‘Wait what happened?!’ I was like, ‘I dunno, they haven’t renewed my contract’. He was like, ‘Oh my gosh! Well I didn’t know that, so I’m sorry!’ He was really fantastic.

“He did give me the opportunity to potentially be a GM again, and give me the opportunity to be like, ‘If you ever potentially want to wrestle again, I’ll give you that opportunity too.’” He was very open about any ideas that I had.

“Do I wanna go back to WWE or do I want to go to AEW? Seeing Renee [Paquette], she’s one of my best friends, and Mox as well, and [Chris] Jericho, they were all calling me.”
