WWE Superstars are multi-dimensional who often transition to movie or web series stars and the latest edition to the spree is Sasha Banks. The reigning SmackDown Women’s Champion made her debut appearance as Koska Reeves in the new Star Wars series, The Mandalorian, which is now streaming on the Disney+ platform.
On this occasion, there have been speculations of the popular star possibly doing more such shows and that might be true. Sasha Banks has recently spoken with USA Today and was asked if there will be more TV and film roles coming toward her way other than being The “Legit Boss” in the WWE. For those who don’t know, Sasha Banks appeared in a supporting role in The Mandalorian who was billed by her real name — Mercedes Varnado. WWE acknowledged and congratulated her for this stint.
After Chapter 11 of The Mandalorian aired, The Topps Company celebrated another weekly exclusive “Mando Mondays,” where fans received a chance to collect exclusive cards having memorable moments from each episode of the popular digital collectibles app — Star Wars: Card Trader by Topps. This role is sure to bring Banks some attention from Hollywood.
At this point, Sasha Banks is all set to face off against Raw Women’s Champion Asuka at Survivor Series 2020 in a Champion vs. Champion matchup. The upcoming PPV takes place on November 22 at the Amway Center in Orlando, Florida. Over on SmackDown, she’s just begun a feud against Carmella and the Women’s Title should be involved in it.
In an interview with Digital Spy, Sasha Banks recently addressed the issue of WWE not hosting a follow up to the successful 2018 Evolution pay-per-view. She admitted how the all-women event is something that she would “absolutely want to happen again.” It’s not understandable for her why such an important event like this hasn’t been brought back.
