Now that her WWE career is reportedly over, fans were eager to know when they could see Sasha Banks in public. Being a professional wrestling icon, the Boston-billed superstar does have a global fanbase who was visibly upset over the walkout set by her and Naomi in the middle of Raw back in May. The higher-ups immediately took steps to punish them as they were stripped of their women’s tag titles.
Several updates regarding Sasha Banks and Naomi were then published by outlets while nothing was officially noted. Now, we know that the former six-time WWE Women’s Champion will make headlines when she will appear at the Chicago Comic & Entertainment Expo (C2E2) in August which marks her first public appearance since her WWE walkout on May 16.

Once the announcement was made by C2E2, Fightful Select reported that it prompted several wrestling conventions to reach out to Sasha Banks in hope of booking her for future appearances. However, they were told that the ex-WWE Superstar couldn’t make appearances for them until 2023. The source also reached out to other convention organizers who confirmed of receiving a “firm, specific rate.”
Sasha Banks’ First Post-WWE Public Appearance Announced
Sasha Banks won’t be seen in action for the rest of 2022
It was strictly noted that Sasha Banks can only start taking bookings after January 1, 2023, and it will have to be in a non-wrestling capacity. Fightful further offered the following,
“One promoter that reached out said they “can’t imagine her not being released at this point.” Talent we followed up with are also under this impression, still. From an official capacity, nothing has changed. We weren’t told if her not accepting wrestling related bookings is a personal preference or tied to something contractual, but have exhausted sources to find out.”
It’s yet to be known whether Sasha Banks not accepting wrestling-related bookings is due to some contractual obligations to the WWE or it’s just her personal choice to stay out of action, for the time being. WWE has still neither publicly confirmed nor denied the release of the top superstar from their banner but it could happen, anytime now.
The same source previously reported how everyone in the WWE is under the impression that Sasha Banks is gone from the company. WWE Creative along with “several high-level talents” are also reportedly operating with the same thought that she’d no more be featuring in any future storylines.
