Seth Rollins has won the Universal Championship on two different occasions in 2019. On both occasions, he was able to slay the beast incarnate to earn the nickname of The Beastslayer.

This is a very rare accolade that a WWE superstar possesses. The company let him earn the same since he is the current face of Monday Night Raw brand. But the good times for him came to a quick end as he started a rivalry with The Fiend Bray Wyatt.

How did The Fiend win the Universal title?

Is WWE bringing back edgier blood content?

There’s no doubt that Seth Rollins was once a universally loved babyface. But the fan opinion has started to diversify around him over the last few months. Mostly, people have started criticizing his performance following Hell In A Cell match against Bray Wyatt.

What alternative plans did WWE have for The Fiend at Hell in a Cell?

The audience hoped that Wyatt will be coming out of the show as the new champion. But that did not happen which in turn, earned major heat from the fans.

It was really disappointing to witness a top star like him getting booed by the fans despite his hard work. While appearing at the premiere episode of WWE’s After The Bell podcast, the host Corey Graves asked the former Universal Champion on how he feels about the fans not supporting him anymore. Seth Rollins came up with a very honest answer.

He seemed very disappointed with the fact that the audience chose to give negative feedback to him knowing that he puts his body on the line every time performing out there, (courtesy sescoops.com)

“It feels awful. It’s not a good feeling to go out there and put your body on the line and not just at Hell In A Cell but every single night. I do what I have to do when I have to do it.

It’s not always pretty but you go out there and you do your job and people don’t like it and they forget that it is what it is. And so it hurts your feelings. It’s fine, it’s art so you can have your opinion on it but man it’s a tough pill to swallow sometimes.”

As mentioned earlier, Seth Rollins faced Bray Wyatt inside a Hell In A Cell structure at the WWE PPV named under this gimmick match. The fans mostly criticized the fact that this Universal Championship match had a referee stoppage which led to a gibberish end to the contest.

The good thing is that the fans have finally got The Fiend Bray Wyatt as the new champion at Crown Jewel PPV. The backlash towards Seth Rollins should come to an end with this. But it will be interesting to see whether these negative reactions could lead to a heel turn to The Architect.
