WWE Raw kicked off with a piece of huge news where the capacity of Stomping Grounds main event changed. As announced earlier, the next title defense for Seth Rollins will happen at the upcoming PPV event. But the challenger Baron Corbin is likely to have the upper hand as he will have a special guest referee by his side. He informed the same in the opening segment of WWE Raw where Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens also joined him on the ramp. This set up the main event of the show, right there.

Kevin Owens volunteered himself to feature in the match against Seth Rollins on WWE Raw. But we got a preview of what’s to come at Stomping Grounds as Sami Zayn was the special outside referee of the match. He tried to interfere as Rollins was rolling with a suicidal dive followed his pendant Stomp.

This led the Universal Champion to shove Sami Zayn out of the ring leading to the disqualification. Baron Corbin arrived at the ring trying to assault Seth Rollins with a chair in hand. But the champion prevailed by kicking Corbin and smashing the chair onto Zayn’s back. He stood tall to end the show.

Seth Rollins had been through with an acid-test at Super ShowDown PPV. He was not only up against Baron Corbin with a title defense but also had a beast incarnate lurking in on his way. Brock Lesnar was all set to cash in his Money in the Bank contract against him in a battered state after the match had been over. However, Paul Heyman did not give his client the upper-hand by tripping his way to the ring.

This allowed Seth Rollins to deliver a beatdown on Brock Lesnar with numerous chair shots on the back. He may have suffered a bruised elbow from the vicious attack and is not likely to come around the WWE programming in due course. Super ShowDown is over and the beast might have gone back to a hiatus. This should not end anytime, soon until Summerslam arrives. WWE.com also hinted that for Rollins will have to worry about Baron Corbin, only,

“Lesnar is deterred, at least momentarily, but he never officially cashed in his Money in the Bank contract, meaning that he still has nearly a year to cash in for a World Championship opportunity at the time and place of his choosing. As The Beast licks his wounds and bides his time, Rollins looks ahead to a Universal Championship rematch against Corbin at WWE Stomping Grounds.”
