Smackdown opened with Shane McMahon and Elias sketching strategy about the latter’s scheduled match with Roman Reigns. Obviously, Shane was going to be out there providing backups to his buddy. This match turned out to be the main event of the night that ended with the heels standing tall, yet again. This time around, Drew McIntyre appeared from Monday Night Raw to gang up on the prime babyface player of Smackdown.
Despite the distractions, Roman Reigns took control of the match countering big knees of Elias with A Superman Punch. Shane McMahon tried to interfere but digested another Superman Punch instead. But he handed away the guitar to Elias which came of no use. Reigns tore him into halves with a huge spear for the win.

WWE News: Huge Return On Smackdown Confirmed WWE Title Match For Super Showdown
Roman Reigns Vs. Shane McMahon Announced For Super ShowDown
Shane McMahon pounced on him after the match and tried to come up with an assault. But Roman Reigns was able to fend him away and approached towards the guitar. It was then when Drew McIntyre appeared from behind and delivered a Claymore Kick on his Wrestlemania 35 opponent. With this, the rivalry of Shane and Reigns keep on heating up as Super ShowDown approaches.
WWE.com announced one of the headliners for this week’s Smackdown via a match between Roman Reigns and Elias,
“The score is far from settled between the two, as they will collide in a WWE Money in the Bank rematch on SmackDown LIVE. To make matters more complicated, Reigns’ WWE Super ShowDown opponent, Shane McMahon, will be in Elias’ corner. Who will walk out of SmackDown LIVE victorious?”
It was a rematch from Money in the Bank pay-per-view event which Roman Reigns win with authority. He floored Elias with a Superman Punch on the entranceway and followed up with an earth-shattering spear to pick up the win. The match ended in just a few seconds pleading The Big Dog to urge for more competition. We learned that one such big match is on his way at Super ShowDown.
The previous night on WWE Raw, Shane McMahon reminded Roman Reigns about their ongoing beef. He wanted to seek retribution for the Superman Punch that he delivered to Mr. McMahon, weeks ago. This set up a match Reigns and the younger McMahon at WWE Super ShowDown. So he was standing by Elias’ side on Smackdown, last night trying to provide the upper-hand. Reigns did try to counter the heel antics but he never saw Claymore coming from Drew McIntyre.
