Professional wrestling legend and two times WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels who is a former four times WWE World Champion recently said that NXT is the only brand in the entire world of professional wrestling which is producing new and fresh stars.
The structure of the NXT got changed just a number of months ago and WWE is calling the NXT as NXT 2.0 right now. The new product got quite clear from the very first week of the NXT 2.0. Seriously NXT focused on bringing in Big charge from the independent wrestling and other promotions.
Shawn Michaels Claims NXT Is The Only Promotion To Create New Stars
Some of the examples of the product were Adam Cole and Shinsuke Nakamura. But WWE decided to change the product of NXT completely which is the reboot of the brand after naming it NXT 2.0.
Hindi new product WWE is focusing on creating new and fresh talents through the NXT 2.0. Most of the big names that arrived from the independent wrestling are now gone. The newest challenge of NXT is to make new stars.
We are concentrating on Building New start from the trainees from the WWE performance centre, the wrestlers whom nobody knew before. For example, the new big thing, Bron Brekker who is being built as a top star in the NXT right now is a new face completely. He is the son of the legendary professional wrestler Ric Steiner.
New stars are being produced in the NXT women’s division as well. Most of the faces of the women’s division are created by the WWE themselves. Only a few wrestlers remain who came from the Indies. Last time when WWE faced competition from WCW, they trusted on the talents whom they created themselves. Maybe they are trying to follow the same product to master their newest rival the AEW.
Shawn Michaels who is a former four times WWE world champion recently spoke to Jim Varsallone where he said that NXT is the only brand in the entire world of professional wrestling which is producing new and fresh stars. He said;
“We’ve been doing this for ten or eleven weeks and still there are new and fresh faces coming in. I recognize that right now one of the really cool buzzwords in the business is ‘producing new, young, fresh superstars,’ and they are actually people who have been around this job for ten or 15 years and they are just now making it onto television.
“We are the only brand in the entire world that is bringing real, true to life, young, fresh, men and women that are going to be the stars of Raw and SmackDown in the next five to ten years.
“It’s just that simple. It starts all here. Bron Breakker, Tony D’Angelo, Grayson Waller, numerous other people where you are watching their first, second, third, tenth matches. Bron Breakker, Tony D’Angelo, they are going to go out there at WarGames, one of our biggest shows of the year, and it’s their tenth to fifteenth matches. Nobody has been thrown into the deep end like these young men and women have. They’ve done a fantastic job and it’s awesome to see.”
