WWE SmackDown star and a former four times WWE World Champion Sheamus who is also a former three times WWE United States champion recently talked about his desire to face Gunther at WrestleMania 39 and take his Revenge at the Grandest Stage of them all.
Sheamus and Gunther had a feud over the WWE Intercontinental Championship last year after the Ring General won the WWE Intercontinental Championship. The Irish professional wrestler was one of the earliest Challengers for him after winning the title.

Sheamus Wants Rematch Against Gunther At WrestleMania 39
Together the duo presented one of the best matches of 2022. Their fight for the intercontinental championship at the Clash at the Castle pay per view event and Critical acclaim from the critics and fans worldwide. Some of the fans still believe that it was the best match of 2022.
The Intercontinental championship was the only title that Sheamus could not wind in WWE yet. Most of the fans wanted to see him winning the prestigious WWE Intercontinental Championship at least once in his WWE career. So in lot of fans where not happy that WWE decided to keep the title to Gunther after this feud.

So a feud at WrestleMania 39 would be a perfect place for the Celtic Warrior win the prestigious Intercontinental championship. There are rumours that WWE might book a triple threat match for The Showcase of the Immortals which would not only featured Gunther and Sheamus but Drew McIntyre as well.
Sheamus who is also a former three times WWE United States champion recently spoke to WWE’s “The Bump” where he talked about his desire to face Gunther at WrestleMania 39 and take his Revenge at the Grandest Stage of them all. He said;

“See, we’re talking about the Royal Rumble but all that’s been on my mind for the past couple years is the [Intercontinental Championship]. I’ve already gone toe to toe with Gunther twice. My vision board this year, my goal this year is to take on Gunther one more time and end the trilogy at WrestleMania and become the first ever WWE Ultimate Grand Slam Champion.
“I’ve been so close lately with the boys at my side over the past year, but this is still the goal for me. Royal Rumbles aside, everything else aside, that is the last piece of my WWE Ultimate Grand Slam Championship that nobody else has ever achieved in this company. That’s all I care about.”
