WWE RAW star Mustafa Ali is going to face Gunther for the WWE Intercontinental Champion just after a couple of hours at Night of Champions. This is going to be the biggest match of his WWE career so far. He might not be the favorite to win this match but featuring in such a match at PLE is definitely pretty big for him.
Recently, he expressed his frustration of being an American Muslim and he reveals how he always felt “Alienated.” Speaking with hindustantimes.com Mustafa Ali explained how he could prove his worth by winning the Intercontinental Championship tonight. Here is what he had to say;

Shocking Revelation From Mustafa Ali: Admits Always Feeling “Alienated” As An American Muslims
“As far as Austin Theory and his United States Championship reign nothing would make me smile more then to take that championship off him and raise it high over my head. I’m in the belief now, I’m in the comfort zone now, what is going to be will be.
“Every time I see the United States flag and every time I see anything red, white, and blue I think of the United States Championship and the reason why I think about it is that I’m bigger than my backstory. Being a Muslim American growing up, despite being born in this country, I always felt a little alienated, I felt like I didn’t belong.

Mustafa Ali Is Scheduled To Face Gunther Tonight At Night Of Champions
“And I don’t know why but I feel like winning that championship will solidify it, like being announced as the United States Champion Mustafa Ali. And not just for me what it would do for other people from all different backgrounds that have ever felt like they don’t belong.
“It’s a testament that yeah it took me 20 plus years to do it but I’ve won this championship and now you have to call me the United States champion Mustafa Ali. There’s a lot of weight that comes with that and I think in a good way,”

Even if this is a big opportunity for Mustafa Ali to prove himself but his future still remains uncertain because we are pretty sure that he would not be pushed after this event anyway. Surely, he would be back to the lower mid card division again where wrestlers have nothing much to do.
Then why is he getting this big opportunity to face someone like Gunther at such a huge PLE? We have our own theory regarding this decision. WWE decided to put him in this match just to cash the Muslim sentiment since the show is taking place at Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. But we seriously hope Mustafa Ali gets a decent push in WWE soon. He is extremely talented and he deserves every bit of it.
