“The Phenomenal” AJ Styles is an active wrestler in WWE for more than seven years and he had been a former two times WWE World Champion. He also won other big WWE titles as well. He went through a lot of ups and down throughout his WWE career and he has always maintained his big status in the promotion.
Right now he is active in the World Heavyweight Championship picture. WWE is organizing a tournament to determine the inaugural WWE World Heavyweight Champion. Both RAW and Smackdown had their own shares of tournaments to crown the new champion. Seth Rollins went on to win the RAW half of the tournament.

On Smackdown, it was none other than AJ Styles who recorded two massive victories to win from his side. On his first match, he pinned Edge, and on the main event of last week’s Smackdown he pinned Bobby Lashley. He earned the right to face Seth Rollins at Night of Champions for the World Heavyweight title.
But before that, AJ Styles had one final task, he would have to go through the former two times NXT Champion Karrion Kross next week on Smackdown. Kross addressed Styles on this week’s Smackdown. Fightful Select already reported about it yesterday, “There was an AJ Styles tarot card planned for the tapings tonight, indicating a match with Karrion Kross could be on the horizon.” They wrote.
AJ Styles Is Scheduled To Face Karrion Kross On Smackdown Today
Is AJ Styles a favorite to win the World Heavyweight Championship at Night of Champions PLE? The honest answer is no. It is pretty much guaranteed that Seth Rollins is going to win the new World Heavyweight Championship and would take it to Monday Night RAW.
Styles received a very strong booking so far and it was all because of the title match he would be involved in at Night of Champions. They just had to make him look strong for the title match. There is no confirmation if AJ Styles would keep on receiving this big push after Night of Champions.
But is there any chance of Styles keep on receiving main event push after his Night of Champions defeat? The chances are very low. Roman Reigns is the World Champion of Smackdown and he is not dropping the title anytime soon. So there is no chance of Styles receiving a main event push.
He can however challenge Roman Reigns for the World title in the future but there is no way he is going to beat him for the title. He might however win the United States title which is now a property of Smackdown.
