WWE star and a former on screen WWE official Sonya Deville recently talked about her former Tag Team partner Mandy Rose and praised whatever she is doing in the NXT right now. She also talked about her storyline with former WWE Raw Tag Team Champion Otis.
Mandy Rose arrived in WWE through the Tough Enough competition and worked in the NXT for around 2 years after that. She came to the main roster in 2017 and teamed up with Sonya Deville. There Tag Team became quite famous but they did not receive any such push from WWE.
Sonya Deville Praises Mandy Rose, Also Looks Back At Her Storyline With Otis
Rose was never been pushed in the main roster of WWE. She was given a number of storyline, but none of them were able to build her up as a potential main event star. Her storyline with Otis became quite famous among the WWE fans and it continued for months. But ultimately it did not meet any consequences either.
Finally, WWE decided to push her in a different way in 2021. She was sent back to NXT and it was a big shocker. At first it looked like that she would work as a manager for a certain number of wrestlers. But she started working as an in ring worker and she formed a stable too.
She won the WWE NXT women’s Championship after she defeated Raquel Gonzalez. Her partners, Gigi Dolin and Jacy Jayne won the NXT Women’s Tag Team championships. Together these three women are known as the Toxic Attraction and their rightfully the biggest attraction of NXT right now. The trio still has all the women’s golds of NXT and they are doing fantastic.
Sonya Deville recently spoke to the Under The Ring podcast where she talked about her former Tag Team partner Mandy Rose and praised whatever she is doing in the NXT right now. She also talked about her storyline with former WWE Raw Tag Team Champion Otis. She said;
“I love just seeing someone come into their prime and come into their own … She went down there and she took an opportunity and made the absolute most out of it. She’s a star, she looks like a star. She’s getting the reps down there and she’s just killing it.”
“We all are so different, we bring such different things to the table, and Mandy is just very talented in a lot of ways. And admirable as a person as well, her work ethic and what she puts into this. So, it’s super cool to see her kind of flourishing … Mandy’s killing it.”
“It was definitely the highlight storyline of my career. It was so real and so personal, and I got to do it with my best friend and my sister, and we were so in it … We kind of just took the ball and ran with it, and did what we could with it, and made the most out of it.”
