Roman Reigns is sitting at the tip of the food chain in the WWE for the past couple of years. He’s the man to beat in WWE for sometimes. From August 2020, he’s been the Universal Champion and hence recently celebrated two years with the belt. His status got also upscaled over the past few months as we address him as a dual cum undisputed champion in the company.
Roman Reigns picked up a big victory over Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 38 in April to capture the WWE Title and thereby become the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion of the world. Drew McIntyre recently had his sights set on the titles as they finally faced off at WWE Clash at the Castle. But thanks to Solo Sikoa, the championships didn’t change hands.
Roman Reigns May Not Wrestle For 2 Months In WWE Due To Limited Schedule
After the match was over, Tyson Fury got in the ring and showed respect to Roman Reigns and also confronted him for a bit. After Roman left with Solo Sikoa, Tyson Fury helped Drew up to his feet and told him that he should be proud of himself. Fury then began to sing the “American Pie” song as the Scottish Warrior and the whole crowd joined him to end the PLE.
Roman Reigns not booked for Extreme Rules 2022
After getting scr**ed by Sikoa Drew could still be coming after Roman Reigns with a vengeance. He obviously didn’t want the bygone match to end the way it ended but the loss never dragged back his spirit. He encouraged the crowd to party as he led them to sing “Don’t Look Back In Anger” by Oasis. He hugged Tyson Fury to end the show and hinted there’s would be more to the story.
Moving on from Clash at the Castle, fans are wondering what could be next for Roman Reigns and when he will defend his title again, next. Speaking about this, Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that he is not currently set to appear at Extreme Rules in October. Hence, this premium live event shouldn’t have the Head of the Table on the match card.
That being said, According to Meltzer, the current plan is for Roman Reigns to defend his Undisputed WWE Universal Championship at the next Saudi Arabia event in November. This is likely to be called WWE Crown Jewel. There’s no word on who his next opponent will be. But rumors are high that Tyson Fury could be a handy opponent if he decides to come back to professional wrestling.
