Reports from PW Insider suggest that WWE executives are “extremely high” on The Megastar and we can expect him to get a big push soon after Summerslam. The site also said that LA Knight had been used “all by plan” on Television and he would be “specifically used in a way that wouldn’t waste his appearances.”
WRKD Wrestling responded to that by Tweeting “there are parties worried that the company won’t strike while the iron is hot and momentum will fade, as they’ve done with some in the past.” So there is definitely intimidation that Knight’s popularity can be choked off in order to prevent him from getting most popular star.
A total of four titles would be defended at Summerslam and the fans were expecting at least one title change at the event, however, according to current odds from BetOnline, no titles are favored to change hands at the Biggest Party of the Summer.
Even though most of the rumors suggested that Asuka would drop the WWE Women’s title to Charlotte Flair and The Empress of Tomorrow actually won the title so that she could drop it to Charlotte and Charlotte could have a one on one feud with Bianca Belair for the WWE Women’s Championship.
A number of returns were rumored for Summerslam. Bray Wyatt is the biggest favorite to make his return at the event. Apart from Wyatt, Randy Orton is also being expected to return by the show. Some also believe that The Rock might make a sensational return at the Biggest Party of the Summer.
