Stephanie McMahon stepped in as Interim Chairwoman and CEO for the WWE, last month and take control of the professional wrestling company. This happened after Vince McMahon at the age of 77 had announced he was officially retiring from the WWE amid all the recent allegations against him.
Earlier Vince was retaining creative control of the company during the investigation. But as WWE was just over a week away from holding their annual SummerSlam event on July 30th, he stepped down from the head-honchos position. After this, Stephanie McMahon and Tony Khan were announced as co-CEOs of the company with Kevin Dunn still being the WWE Executive Producer.
Stephanie McMahon Opted To Leave WWE After Having A Rough Phase
With Triple H being in charge of the creative team and the EVP of the Talent Relations, already some noticeable changes have been seen in WWE Programming as well as backstage. With this move, WWE might have one-upped their rival brand All Elite wrestling promotion.
Many believe that with Triple H and Stephanie McMahon in control, WWE would be in a favorable position. Then during a recent interview with NBC Sports, Old School WCW Legend Eric Bischoff claimed that the latter could even beat up AEW owner Tony Khan if a real-life fight ever takes place.

Eric Bischoff thinks Tony Khan is no match for Stephanie McMahon
Here’s what Bischoff’s full statement was,
“Stephanie McMahon would kill Tony Khan. Have you stood next to Tony Khan? She’s stronger, bigger.
Listen, I’ve been slapped by Stephanie McMahon on television, which was supposed to be what they call a ‘working’ slap. She don’t know how to work, at least not a slap.
I mean, that girl could hurt you. She would kill Tony Khan. Kill him. Yeah, set that up. Somebody book that. That would be fun.” (quotes courtesy WWFOldSchool)
Eric Bischoff has always been very much vocal about AEW’s business perspective which may not help them to get past WWE by any means. Despite appearing on AEW TV a few times in brief roles, the WWE Hall of Famer doesn’t have much positive to say about Khan’s company these days. Down the road, this might help him to be back on WWE TV or behind the scenes in some capacity.
Bischoff had worked as RAW General Manager from 2002 until 2005 at the same time when Stephanie McMahon used to be the Smackdown show-runner. Then he briefly returned to Vince McMahon’s promotion as ‘Executive Director of SmackDown’ in 2019 but he was let go after about 4 months.
