Stephanie McMahon announced her ‘leave of absence’ from WWE for an indefinite timespan, earlier this year and that surprised a lot of professional wrestling fans. She has been very successful as the Chief Brand Officer of the company who literally served as the face of the brand for all these years. Moreover, she was so good in her role that she won multiple awards for her performance to gain mainstream fame in the corporate world.
That being said, Stephanie McMahon remains an influential figure for the female entrepreneurs around the USA and beyond despite this ongoing hiatus. As stated below on Twitter, the reason behind the time-off is to spend more time with her family but there’s more to the story,
“As of tomorrow, I am taking a leave of absence from the majority of my responsibilities at WWE. WWE is a lifelong legacy for me and I look forward to returning to the company that I love after taking this time to focus on my family.”
Shane McMahon Doesn’t Share Good Rapport With Current WWE Chairman
Questions remain unanswered regarding what led to her decision to take time away from her family company. While no definitive answer has been received, updates regarding the departure were made available.
A report from PWInsider described Stephanie McMahon’s last year as “rough” in the company. The health struggles of her husband, WWE EVP of Global Talent Strategy & Development Triple H was one of those reasons which forced her to take care of several duties at the same time. The CBO hence said that she was taking time away to focus on her family.

New name was likely to be hired to fill in Stephanie McMahon’s role
Several people from Stephanie McMahon’s personal work team were fired amid WWE’s budget cuts which could be another reason for the stepping away although nothing was noted about it in the report. In her absence, a report by Fightful Select had stated that her husband, Triple H, and former 14-time World Champion had recently returned to WWE offices full-time but his role with the company has drastically changed before.
The source has also informed that WWE President Nick Khan will be bringing in a full-time executive to fill in for Stephanie McMahon,
“While WWE President Nick Khan is working with several of WWE’s partners in McMahon’s absence, the belief is that eventually, the company will bring someone in to handle Brand Management on an Executive level full-time.”
