Professional wrestling legend and two times WWE Hall of Famer Booker T who is a former five times WCW World Heavyweight champion and a former WWE World Heavyweight Champion recently claimed that Stone Cold Steve Austin could take the place of the Undertaker in WWE.
Currently WWE focuses on making money more than producing good shows. This is the biggest return why they keep on going back to the Saudi. And in every Saudi event you will see some legends are on the card, Undertaker and Goldberg are two of the most common names for the Saudi events of WWE.
Booker T Thinks Steve Austin Can Be The New Undertaker Of WWE
We have seen big legends like Triple H, Shawn Michaels and Kane working on the Saudi events previously. They have even booked dream matches like the Undertaker vs Goldberg and D Generation X vs The Brothers of Destruction for to Saudi events. Even though these matches were disasters but they made money, a lot of money actually. And that is all WWE cares for right now.
Undertaker is not a regular for that Saudi events of WWE anymore. Booker T thinks Stone Cold Steve Austin is the perfect person to replace Undertaker for the Saudi shows of WWE. The only Legend that is still a regular for the Saudi events of WWE is Goldberg. If the speculation of Booker T is true, who knows we might get another dream match in the form of Goldberg vs Stone Cold Steve Austin.
But Austin actually does not have to wrestle in any match even if he flies to Saudi. His name is enough to sell tickets at any corner in the earth. We actually believe whatever he did at WrestleMania 38 was epic, and his match against Kevin Owens should remain his final match ever. WWE should not bring him back for the Saudi events just to make some easy money.
Booker T who is a former five times WCW World Heavyweight champion recently spoke on his Hall Of Fame podcast where he claimed that Stone Cold Steve Austin could take the place of the Undertaker in WWE. He said;
“I wouldn’t say he’s a WrestleMania guy or anything like that. Star power is everything. Saudi Arabia, to have Stone Cold Steve Austin on that card – boom, I’m sure the people over there would love it.
“To see Austin in Cardiff, Wales, that would be awesome because those guys out there haven’t seen him in such a long time. To see Stone Cold Steve Austin live, up close and in person, that would just be a moment for those guys, just to see Steve Austin – forget about him in the ring.”
“I see Steve as maybe the new Undertaker. The guy that shows up, pop the crowd, give the crowd that moment that they’re going to remember for the rest of their lives – and, me personally, that’s a damn good position to be in.”
