Will Stone Cold Steve Austin Be A Part Of WWE Wrestlemania 37?

Ever since Stone Cold Steve Austin was forced to quit wrestling in 2003 due to a neck injury, he mostly worked in special Wrestlemania appearances. With the 37th edition approaching closer, there have been some speculations about whether he is booked for the Show of Shows emanating from the Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida. We have now received an update regarding the legend’s status for the upcoming PPV.

Stone Cold Steve Austin appeared in an episode of the Wrestling Inc. Daily podcast as part of Tide’s #TurnToCold campaign. He discussed winning his first WWE World Championship against Shawn Michaels at WrestleMania 14 twenty-three years ago. When Wrestling Inc. Managing Editor Nick Hausman asked Austin if he will be involved with WrestleMania 37, he came up with a negative answer.

The WWE Hall of Famer and six-time WWE World Champion replied saying that the company didn’t reach out to him for Wrestlemania 37. It makes sense to him since he’s likely to be wanted in the upcoming editions those are set to be in Texas and Hollywood. Plus, Stone Cold Steve Austin also mentioned not having any problems with WWE not calling him for a show-up, this year.

WWE didn’t contact Stone Cold Steve Austin on Wrestlemania 37 appearance

“They didn’t reach out to me this year,” Austin revealed. “I think they got their hands full with what they’re doing. I think it only makes sense for me to come back maybe in Texas or LA. It’d be great to go back to Dallas. So we’ll see what happens there, but I’m fine sitting at the house watching this one.

“We’ve been trying to move out of LA and move permanently over here to Nevada. So we’ve had a ton of stuff going on. I’ll be watching. I’m okay not being there.”

Stone Cold Steve Austin Reveals His Favorite Opponent In WWE

Stone Cold Steve Austin appeared last in a Wrestlemania segment back in 2016 when he teamed with Mick Foley and Shawn Michaels to take out the League of Nations. That year, ‘Mania went bigger by visiting Texas. Since the 38th edition of the Show of Shows is returning to the same place, next year, we assume that he would return in 2022.

The last time Stone Cold Steve Austin appeared on WWE TV was in 2020 when he celebrated Austin 316 day with zero audiences. WWE continued that celebration this year, too by selling a ton of merchandise, and hyping the occasion via social media.
