WWE conducted a Super Smackdown from the historic Madison Square Garden in New York City, this week. As noticed on the show, the number of segments and matches was less than usual as they couldn’t fit everything on the show that they had planned. This explains why some of the superstars sent out frustrated tweets once the show went off the air.

It was noted by Fightful Select that a women’s tag team match was scheduled for Super Smackdown, but nixed due to time restraints. The match was to feature Liv Morgan and a partner vs. Carmella and Zelina Vega. There is no word yet on who was planned to be Morgan’s partner, or whether the match would be planned for next week.

It appears like the Naomi – Sonya Deville storyline was also nixed from this week’s Super SmackDown. Naomi was originally expected to feature in a match booked by Deville which never took place. There’s no word either on if this context was related to the tag team match that got nixed from the show.

Naomi and Kevin Owens pulled off Super Smackdown

Naomi was brought to SmackDown from RAW last month, but she is yet to wrestle and per the storyline, WWE Official Sonya Deville is too busy or occupied to deal with Naomi. Naomi continued the storyline on Twitter she started tweeting about Super Smackdown earlier in the day and even posted a backstage segment where she confronted Deville. She was again promised to have something for next week.

Fightful also reported that a segment with Kevin Owens and Happy Corbin was canceled from Super Smackdown. Their absence from this week’s show was noticed as the duo has been involved in storylines in the ongoing weeks.

“That segment was cut during the actual show, while a planned segment between Kevin Owens and Happy Corbin was cut from the program this afternoon,” the source noted.

Corbin appeared after SmackDown where he was beaten up by The Demon and then he lost to Drew McIntyre in a singles contest. WWE had a lot planned for this week but that wasn’t executed for some reason. Carmella and Live Morgan also tweeted out “….” and fans wondered what has been going on between the two.
