ToggleAfter months of tensions between them, AJ Styles will finally be able to square off against Finn Balor at Survivor Series WarGames 2022. This came after AJ issued a challenge to Balor for a one-on-one match for the upcoming premium live event to be hosted by the WWE within two weeks of time.
In a backstage segment, Balor agreed to the match and WWE officially announced it for Survivor Series WarGames 2022. These two names are the original members of the Bullet Club back in Japan and a match between them will certainly be a treat to professional wrestling fanatics.

Balor and Styles’ rivalry goes way back
The ongoing feud between Balor and Styles started back in June and it went forward with Styles’ rivalry with Edge. Styles and Edge clashed at WrestleMania and then at WrestleMania Backlash where Edge picked up the win on both occasions due to interferences from Judgment Day.
Afterward, Balor kicked Edge out of Judgment Day and invited Styles to join Judgment Day on several occasions. After suffering multiple assaults from Judgment Day, Styles ultimately brought in Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson reforming The O.C. to assist him against Judgment Day, teasing a tag team match at Survivor Series WarGames 2022. However, it will be a one-on-one bout instead.

Previously, Finn Balor and AJ Styles met in a similar capacity at WWE TLC: Tables, Ladders & Chairs pay-per-view event on October 22, 2017, but on short notice. Styles was originally scheduled to face Bray on that night but Wyatt had to pull out of the show due to illness. Styles then had to replace Wyatt to suffer a loss to Balor’s demonic persona.
