Tay Conti, now going by the name of Tay Melo in AEW, has been one of the top emerging female professional wrestling stars of the company. She was also one of those names who jumped ship to go to the AEW from WWE. While the latter helped her to start the business, it’s the Tony Khan-owned brand that really helped her to live up to her full potential.
Following her WWE release, Tay Conti found her way to AEW within the least amount of time and since getting here, she has been able to taste success in her career. In addition, she also found out the best in her romantic life by marrying the controversial AEW Superstar Sammy Guevara.

Tay Conti became successful in her personal and professional life after coming to AEW
Sammy Guevera is the other half of the AAA World Mixed Tag Team Champion who tied the knot with the former WWE Superstar, this summer. Former WWE Raw Women’s Champion Nikki A.S.H. served as one of the bridesmaids in the wedding. Tay Conti revealed on Twitter that Nikki was one of her bridesmaids during the pre-wedding rehearsal brunch.
In 2014, Tay Conti wrestled in her first-ever match in the indie circuit before getting signed by the WWE in 2017. She went on to hold victories over the likes of Vanessa Borne and Santana Garrett before her release from the company in April 2020. Several WWE stars had to depart the WWE due to COVID pandemic-related budget cuts.
Tay Conti was one of those WWE stars who then landed straight on the AEW roster by competing in the first-ever AEW Women’s Tag Team Cup Tournament. Except for the Mixed Tag Team Title win, she has also competed in PPV events like Full Gear 2021, and Revolution 2022, fighting for women’s championships.
