Tessa Blanchard has been considered the most wanted free agent in the professional wrestling circuit for the entire 2020 summer. She hasn’t wrestled publicly since the coronavirus pandemic began in early 2020. Rather, she decided to stay in Mexico which caused her to be fired as their World Champion. Thus she became a free agent and the tag isn’t going anywhere from her.

WWE reportedly ‘sent out feelers’ for Tessa Blanchard as soon as she became a free agent. They also had the advantage to sign her as there was no non-compete clause associated with her Impact Wrestling release. (except for a non-disparagement clause) But nothing has worked out, well as she’s not become a WWE Superstar.

The latest news is that Tessa Blanchard is set to make her in-ring return at the Warrior Wrestling Stadium Series event. She will headline “the first of several” shows according to the reports of PW Insider. The show will go down from Chicago, Illinois, and will stream on Fite TV on September 12th.

It was also noted that Tessa is going to wrestle against Kylie Rae for that promotion’s Women’s Championship. We wonder whether she wants to spend more time with that company in the near future.

Previously, during Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer informed that there is interest from other companies for Tessa Blanchard. WWE was definitely in the picture, but he was not too sure about AEW as the company seems to have a different standard that they follow.

“I know she’s got feelers out for WWE. I don’t know about AEW.”

AEW reportedly has a different standard for their fans. Blanchard’s past locker room behavior might cause an issue for them. AEW officials might also have a different opinion on social responsibility within that fan base. So chances were very big that WWE could go all-out for her which is yet to be the case.

Tessa Blanchard made history as the first-ever female Impact Wrestling World Champion. Her contract with the company was set to expire on June 30th which was just weeks before her Slammiversary match on July 18th. She denied to show up or send vignettes regarding the title bout and thus got fired. It seems like she is yet to make up mind on what’s next in her career.
