Tessa Blanchard had been on the receiving end of so much heat from the professional wrestling circuit, last year. She landed herself in the middle of a whole lot of controversy when a story went viral with racial issues in it. She allegedly called La Rosa Negra the N-Word before spitting on her in an incident that isn’t accepted by any means.

If reports are to be believed then this took place during a tour in Japan while Tessa Blanchard has always denied doing such things. Fightful Select recently spoke to La Rosa Negra and released parts of the interview to provide further updates on the altercation. If the words of the victim are to be believed then the accusing is justified.

Negra said that Tessa Blanchard did address her with the N-Word and spit on her. She also admitted to striking her after she mentioned her with that offensive word. Later on, the two met at WrestleCade where La Rosa Negra said she had forgiven Blanchard. At the same time, she didn’t want an apology in return. It seems that Negra has moved on since.

“She noted that she doesn’t really care about what Tessa Blanchard does, but that she approached Tessa at WrestleCade and said she forgave Blanchard, and didn’t want to hold a grudge. She doesn’t want an apology from Blanchard and said it was too late for that and she’s already moved on and denied it.”

Tessa Blanchard is yet to sign with WWE or AEW

Tessa Blanchard was believed to be the hottest free agent in the professional wrestling circuit back in summer 2020 and she is still residing in that position. She was released from Impact Wrestling as their reigning World Champion when the pandemic struck. To date, she’s still waiting for her next move in the pro wrestling world.

It is likely that the N-word story will move along with Tessa Blanchard wherever she moves, next. Some do believe that it is also prohibiting her from signing with WWE. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, there is a pull within AEW to bring in the former world champion. There is obviously some setback considering the bullying and racist allegations against her.

“AEW has people who really want Tessa Blanchard in but feel that they can’t do so.”
