This week’s SmackDown featured a big title unification match, a very good main event, a good continuation of the Women’s Championship segment, LA Knight got a big win tonight, and that was all the good things about this week. What about the bad sides? Let us discuss in details.
Firstly we need to talk about the Women’s Tag Team Championship unification. We are not sure if this was Vince McMahon’s decision or Triple H’s decision, but once again WWE proved that their creative is too lazy to manage all these championships. There is no other reason for getting rid of the NXT Women’s Tag Tean Championship. The titles were better managed than the main roster ones, still, they deactivated it.

Ever since Triple H became in charge of the creative of WWE, he had been terrible in managing the Women’s division, he did not care about the lower mid card either. After he deactivated the 24/7 championship, fans were expecting to see a lower mid card title or a mid card title for the women. But fans actually overestimated Triple H. By deactivating the 24/7 title, he made the lower mid card division completely irrelevant.
Now let us talk about the women’s division. A triple threat match for the women’s Championship is on the way as it seems. Next week on Smackdown, Charlotte Flair would challenge Asuka for the Women’s title and Bianca Belair is on the queue as well. Lacey Evans got a chance to work tonight, of course as a jobber, but she was fortunate than the rest of the roster, at least she got a chance to perform. Just imagine what Triple H did to the women’s division.
Roman Reigns Did Not Appear On Smackdown This Week, Again
We seriously do not remember the last time we got to see wrestlers like Piper Niven, Tegan Nox, Xia Li on the main roster. All of them are talented wrestlers, but they cannot book these wrestlers, instead they are bringing back Trish Stratus and Lita, who did not need anything to prove more. Vince McMahon might have been a bad booker by the end of his career, but at least he provided TV time to almost everyone.
Now let us talk about the famous Bloodline segment. Trust us, we knew that Roman Reigns would not appear tonight. He just cannot appear week after week. It is pretty much clear that he is on top of everyone not because he is the best, but he is the favourite of Vince McMahon and Triple H.
This had been the story of almost every feud of Roman Reigns. His opponents promote the feud throughout, but at the end Roman Reigns get all the glory. It happened to Kevin Owens, Cody Rhodes, now it is happening to The Usos too. Roman Reigns did not defend his title since WrestleMania 39 and pretty surely he is not defending it till SummerSlam. At least he can appear every week.
