LA Knight is working actively on WWE Friday Night Smackdown and he is one of the most famous stars of the promotion at this moment. He was one of the biggest favourite to win the Money in the Bank ladder match. In spite of the fact he failed, the London crowd remained on his side throughout the match.
His popularity among the wrestling fans is increasing day by day and when WWE decided to cut his appearance on SmackDown last week from Live television, it disappointed a lot of fans and they tried to explain why it is really important to have him featured on television.

In spite of the fact he is extremely popular among the fans he had to receive a lot of criticism from wrestling legends or pundits. WWE Hall of Famer Kevin Nash also criticized him publicly. But wrestling legend Konnan thinks otherwise and defended him. Speaking on his K100 Podcast, the former WCW star explained;
“We had L.A. Knight on the show and I asked him about that,” said Konnan. “I said, ‘Hey your cadence is a lot like The Rock’s.’ And he goes, ‘Yeah, I know.’ He’s not denying it, right? [He’s] paying homage to the greatest to have ever done it on the mic, which I get. The first time I saw him in Impact, I [said] this guy is kind of a ripoff of The Rock. That is the first thing that I thought when I saw him. But then I kept seeing him.
LA Knight Is Being Compared To The Rock
“The Rock never said, ‘Yeah!’ Or ‘Dummy!’ He’s inspired by The Rock, [who] hasn’t been in wrestling on a consistent basis for 25 years. What’s the big deal? I see nothing wrong with what he’s doing.”
Knight is currently active on Friday Night Smackdown and he is doing an excellent job in the blue brand of WWE. A lot of fans wanted to see him on the main event scene on Smackdown but we are not sure if he would ever be promoted on the main event scene. Knight himself confirmed that there were confusions about his age upon his main roster debut last year.
But he would definitely be an excellent addition in the mid card division of WWE. On the last house show of the promotion, they teased a big feud between him and Austin Theory for the United States Championship. Knight would be an excellent champion if he enters the United States Championship division. We hope to see him shine more in WWE in the near future.
