Toni Storm has been a critically acclaimed professional wrestler who used to perform through a lot of promotions across the world. Then WWE signed her as a top prospect who proceeded to have a solid run on NXT and NXT UK brand, indicating another top run on the main roster. But that reign was simply intolerable without having any concrete direction.
A program with Charlotte Flair was arranged for Toni Storm but she was eventually buried as a blooming superstar. It did nothing to elevate her career and thereby led to massive frustrations in her. Due to this, she opted to walk out of WWE in order to pursue a successful stint in the WWE.
She’s already become an Interim Women’s Champion in the AEW while also feuding with other top talents like Dr. Britt Baker or Thunder Rosa. Now Saraya (fka Paige) is also an All Elite as the former WWE star made her AEW debut on the September 21 episode of AEW Dynamite.
Toni Storm Not In ‘Ideal’ Position After Becoming AEW Women’s Champion
With the potential future leader arriving in the AEW Women’s Division, Toni Storm firmly believes the squad is destined to ‘change the entire game’ for the female professional wrestlers. Being a top name, the Australian Superstar wants to contribute to the permanent history of the AEW women’s division and wants to see it grow.
Toni Storm has high praises for the current AEW Women’s roster
While speaking with TV Insider, Toni Storm stated the following regarding the bright future of AEW female roster,
“It’s a story as old as time. Women’s wrestling struggles to get the same amount of time as the guys. We are put in a different position, but I really do believe we are headed in the right direction.
We’ve got a locker room full of really hardworking and talented women that I believe are the future. It’s going to change the entire game. I think we’re going to overcome and get more time and see more emphasis on ourselves. But we’re doing the hard work. I’m very confident in this entire division.”
As a one-time Interim AEW Women’s Champion, Toni Storm admitted to being so proud to be at the top and will do everything in her power to push it forward,
“I’m proud of everyone back there. I’m choosing to be positive. I think, little by little, there will be more emphasis on us in AEW. We just need to keep breaking down that door. I also think consistency is what will get us there.”
