The Submission move is perhaps the deadliest blow that each wrestler tries to inflict on his opponents. While there may be some fumbles while delivering them, others are vicious in their own right. So here we present the top ten submission moves ever in the WWE.

10. Anaconda Vice : The move is used by CM Punk in WWE. It is similar to the Cobra Clutch. The move was invented by Satoru Sayama. Some consider Hiroyoshi Tenzan as the inventor of Anaconda Vice as he was seen to perform this move first. CM Punk performed this move in Ring of Honor first, and he performed it in WWE too.

9. The Human Torture Rack :The move came in WWE by holding the hands of Lex Lugar and it was also used by Hercules Hernandez. Later, Ezekiel Jackson also performed this move. The name ‘Torture Rack’ arrived from the medieval punishment device, Torture Rack. The actual name of this move is Argentine Back Breaker.

8. Ankle Lock : Ken Shamrock used this move as his finishing maneuver, later, Kurt Angle used this this move too. There are several forms of this move, and this is a very famous and common move martial art and judo too. This technique was described by KyuzoMifune in The Canon of Judo. The maneuver was also known as AshiHishigi.

7. Texas Cloverleaf : The move was performed by Dean Malenko who was also credited as the inventor of this move but some people believe that this maneuver’s actual credit goes to Dory Funk, Jr. It is now in WWE performed by Sheamus.

6. Crippler Cross Face : Wrestling fans are familiar with the legendary finishing maneuver of Chris Benoit. This move is currently used by Daniel Bryan. The move was invented by Dean Malenko.

5. Camel Clutch : The Iron Sheik was the first wrestler to use this move in WWE. Scott Steiner also used Camel Clutch as Steiner Recliner . Legendary NWA wrestler Gory Guerrero aka Salvador Guerrero invented this move as La De ACaballo.

4. Figure 4 Leg Lock : This legendary submission move was the finishing maneuver of Ric Flair. Triple H also used this move as a tribute to the Nature Boy. This move invented by the first ever World Wrestling Federation champion Buddy Rodgers but the credit of the move was also claimed by the former NWA legend Eddie Graham.

3. Lion Tamer : the move is a modified version the Boston Crab submission maneuver, but as Y2J Chris Jericho uses it as Lion Tamer, formerly Walls of Jericho, it looks even more dangerous. Boston Crab was also performed by Bill Watts and ‘The Model’ Rick Martel also used this move as his finisher.

2. Sharpshooter : The finishing maneuver of the WWE legend Bret ‘The Hit man’ Hart. The move was also performed by Sting as Scorpion Death Lock. Sting and Ronnie Garvin performed this move before Bret Hart but the excellence of Execusion made Sharpshooter famous. Other members of Hart family also used this move. The move was invented by the All/NewJapan Pro Wrestling legend Ricki Choshu as ‘Sasori-gatame’.

1. Triangle Choke :It is one of the most dangerous finishing maneuvers of Wrestling. Used by Undertaker as ‘Hell’s Gate’ in WWE. People believe that the move was invented over thousands of years ago by the Spartans. Judo groundwork specialist Tsunetane Oda first demonstrated this move on video. The technique also known as ‘Sankaku-Jime’  is a type of lateral vascular restraint that constricts the blood flow from the carotid arteries to the brain.
