Before NXT became a reality, Seth Rollins was a regular roster member of FCW.

Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn attended his first match in WWE
Seth Rollins debuted at Survivor Series 2012 as a member of The Shield. Their first match took place at the TLC PPV of that year. Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose battled Daniel Bryan, Kane, and Ryback in a classic Tables, Ladders and Chairs Match. It was the inaugural WWE event at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.
Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn were good friends of him through sharing the locker room in ROH. So they attended the TLC event in 2012. Just hours before to that PPV, they wrestled each other in the main event of ROH Final Battle in Manhattan, New York. KO later revealed in an interview that he needed to watch the debut match of Seth Rollins. It motivated him to work even harder and sign with WWE in the future.
