We have all seen the official teaser of WWE 2K22 during WrestleMania 37 and it finally looks like it is going to be a better game. With the immense failure of WWE 2K20, fans almost gave up on 2K. Since the takeover of 2K, WWE games are not that fun they used to be during the THQ days. They are now less fighting games, and more simulation based games.
2K on the other hand is not going through a very good spell either. The company that produced games like Bioshock, Mafia 1 & 2, Civilization 4 & 5 are currently making really disappointing games. Mafia 3, Mafia Definitive Edition are being some examples of those disappointing titles.

Top 5 Features We Want In WWE 2K22
2K is mostly eyeing on their sports titles. After the massive crash of WWE 2K20, they could not release the next installment of the main series. Instead, they came up with WWE 2K Battlegrounds, which was extremely average as well. It looked more like a mobile game ported to consoles.
But it is rumored that to hide their mistakes, 2K will finally listen to their fans by bringing back some of the beloved old features that were removed on the recent entries. Let us talk about some of the best removed features that we want to be back in 2K22;

- Missing Match Types – A lot of amazing and fun match types have been removed from the recent WWE games, such as the Inferno match, Buried Alive match, Casket Match, Ambulance match, I Quit Match, Lumberjack Match, backstage Brawl, Special Guest Referee and more.
It feels really awkward that such amazing match types do not feature in the recent video games. THQ always brought us back a number of them, in installments though, but 2K did not seem to be interested at all. We hope these match types return. Even there were First Blood Matches which were extremely fun as well. Speaking of First Blood match, it leads to…..

- More Blood – Ever since WWE turned PG, blood has been very minimal in WWE games. A wrestling game without blood seems really awkward at times. We can understand the PG rules, so they can make blood optional by agreeing the guidelines.
Similar to Sega Genesis did with the Mortal Combat series back in the 90s. Blood needs to be brought back. What we cannot experience in real life, at least we should be able to simulate the experience in video games.

- Better Story Mode – Ever since 2K introduced the WWE universe mode, story modes are completely erased. Today, we still give examples of games like Smackdown Here Comes the Pain or the original SVR series.
These games only not only became famous because of their engaging gameplays, but their story modes were quite amazing as well. We hope 2K brings back the story mode parallel to the Universe Mode.

- General manager Mode – One of the most fan favorite and arguably the most underrated features of the WWE SVR series has to be the General manager mode.

It featured for only three games, SVR 06, 07 and 08. It was removed after that. Right now, with so many sub-brands of WWE like NXT, NXT UK or the 205 Live, GM mode would be an amazing feature to be added.
- Story Designer – Last but not the least of course, maybe the most wanted feature in a WWE video game right now is the Custom Story Designer mode. It was first featured in the SVR 10 and WWE 2K14 was the last game in featured in. In story designer mode, you could write your own dream storyline and play it with your desired wrestlers.

Ever since it has been removed, fans are begging 2K to bring it back. We hope they finally listen to us and bring back all these much wanted features back in WWE 2K22.
