Former two times WWE World Champion Kane is one of the latest inductees of the WWE Hall of Fame class of 2021. The news was broke by the Undertaker as both Undertaker and his on-screen brother Kane featured guests in the WWE Bump. The segment was extremely emotional as Glenn Thomas Jacobs aka Kane broke down in tears after hearing the news.

Glenn’s achievements can never justify his fame. He was one of the most famous wrestlers among the fans even playing a mid-card role for the most part of his career. There is no other mid-card star who could achieve as much fame as Kane did in his entire career. Today we will look at the best achievements of Kane.

Top 5 Greatest Achievements Of Kane

  1. ECW Championship – Glenn’s ECW title run came all of a sudden in 2008 when he defeated Chavo Guerrero to win the prestigious ECW championship.

The match took place in WrestleMania 24. He first competed in a battle royal in a dark match which he won to earn the ECW title match on the same night. Later, he faced the ECW champion Chavo Guerrero and defeated him in a record time (11 seconds). It remained the shortest match in WrestleMania history until it was broken after eight-year when the Rock defeated Erick Rowan in seven seconds.

  1. Twelve Tag Team championship runs – Glenn is a twelve times tag team champion in WWE only. He has more tag team championship run in different promotions before he joined WWE.

The list of his tag team victories is very long, he won his first tag team title with Mankind in 1998, and then the legacy continued. He won two tag team titles with Mankind, twice with X-Pac, twice with the Undertaker, twice with the Big Show, once with Hurricane, once with Rob Van Dam, and once with Daniel Bryan. He also won the WCW Tag Team Championship once with the Undertaker.

  1. Two Intercontinental Championship runs – Both of his Intercontinental title runs were famous for beating the biggest wrestlers of WWE. The first Intercontinental Championship he won was against Triple H at Judgment Day 2001 in a chain match. The other one is in late 2002 where he defeated Chris Jericho to win the title for the second time.

Glenn’s Intercontinental title runs were not much famous. But both had significant values.

  1. World Heavyweight Championship – This championship run was more of a gift from Kane for his fans who always complained that he does not take many spotlights in spite of being really famous. It is believed that the Undertaker convinced Kane to take this run it was the Undertaker who is behind all the idea.

Undertaker also wanted Kane to win a feud against him during this title run. Kane agreed to carry the World Heavyweight title for his fans and for the Undertaker. It was a successful run. Fans loved it and PWI rated him as #4 on their top 500 wrestlers on the 2011 list.

Honorable Mentions – Kane has a Hardcore title run too. He defeated the Big Show and the then Hardcore Champion Raven to win the first and only Hardcore championship at WrestleMania X-Seven. It was one of the most entertaining matches of arguably the best WrestleMania ever.

Kane was scheduled to face the Big Show in a one-on-one match at the event earlier. Then to make things more interesting, WWE made it a triple threat match where they included both individuals in the title match, and what a booking it was!

He also has pinfall victories listed over the likes of Shawn Michaels, The Rock, and many huge names. And who can forget his famous Mask vs. Mask feud against Vader? He also won the Money in the Bank match in 2010 which earned him a world heavyweight title match. He is the third Grand Slam champion and eighth triple crown champion of WWE. The list of his achievements is really very long.

  1. WWE Champion – His biggest victory came back in 1998. In the King on the Ring PPV event, he defeated Stone Cold Steve Austin in a first blood match to win the WWE champion. Even though this run is considered as one of the worst title runs of his career because a one-day title run does not define his persona or fame. But winning the most prestigious title by defeating one of the names in WWE is definitely his biggest achievement.
