There are a lot of fans that keep complaining that WWE main shows are getting worse day by day. The complaint remains still with weak storylines, poor bookings, sometimes it feels like WWE does not even care about what fans want.
But why are the shows getting weak day after day? NXT on the other hand seems extremely entertaining and fun to watch. NXT is more of an Indie show which sometimes feels has nothing to do with WWE. Then what is wrong with the main shows of WWE? Why are they failing to deliver?

Top 5 Ideas That Can Make WWE More Interesting
Here, we look at the top 5 things that can completely change the graph for Raw and Smackdown and would make things interesting again.
5. Separate PPVs for Raw and Smackdown – WWE came up with the idea of separate storylines for Raw and Smackdown in 2003. Badd Blood and vengeance were the first events from that year that Raw and Smackdown managed solo. Fans loved it in that time. Not only this made the four primary shows more meaningful at that time but were also more anticipated.

In 2016, WWE came up with the same format after the second brand warfare. But this time WWE kept the mark fans in mind and they ended the concept.
WWE needs to bring this format back in order to make things better. This will allow them to make more storylines, and all the storylines will be better too because they will get more time to build it better.

4. Authority / General Manager vs. Wrestler(s) Storylines – Authority vs. Wrestler storylines have been the main priority of WWE since Attitude Era. The same storyline was Vince McMahon vs. Stone Cold Steve Austin which made Attitude Era so famous and WWE were able to compete WCW in the ratings.
Speaking of WCW, they also came out with the similar concept with WCW vs. NOW storylines which was very famous back then.
Even after Attitude Era, WWE kept doing the similar storylines, this time, the figure was General Managers too. After 2015, with Authority took part from storylines, shows became quite boring and monotonous.
This is the perfect time for WWE to come back with similar storyline. This can make both shows very interesting. And this should continue.

3. Meaningful Brand vs. Brand Storylines – The brand vs. Brand storylines was first introduced in 2004 when WWE came out with the draft lottery (2002 draft was not a lottery system). General Managers from both shows, Eric Bischoff of Raw and Paul Heyman of Smackdown started the feud.
The first legit fight between Raw and Smackdown occurred in 2005 Survivor Series. The booking of the storyline was excellent and it was very fun.
WWE still organize Raw vs. Smackdown feud in Survivor Series but it could never be as interesting as the Ruthless Aggression era. WWE needs to make the brand warfare more meaningful to make things more exciting.

2. Lower Mid Card Championships – With so many wrestlers involved in both shows, WWE cannot book them all and as a result, so many great talents get buried. This is reason WWE needs to get back a lower mid card title so that everyone gets good booking and show time.
Believe it or not, WWE did have two lower mid card titles during the Attitude Era which were the European Championship and the Hardcore Championship. WWE 24/7 first seemed like a repackaged version of the famous Hardcore title. But terrible bookings made the title completely meaningless.
WWE needs to bring back the European title or something similar both shows to stop wrestlers from getting buried. It will also help to fill the weak hours booking gap.

1. Listen to the Fans – This is something very difficult to have but there was a time when WWE actually used to listen to the fans. But with their monopoly increasing in the world of wrestling, they only do what they want to.
But WWE should listen to the fans sometimes. For some recent examples, fans wanted Damien Sandow and Rusev to get pushed. But WWE did not push them at all, they did not care what the fans wanted. We hope this changes soon. WWE needs to give fans what they want.
