WWE Raw has literally received a new life after Vince McMahon is gone from the scene, starting in late July. The current contents are considered to be a breath of fresh air for professional wrestling fans. They have been demanded to have Triple H in charge of the show. Now that it’s become a reality, he has ushered in a new era since taking over the Head of WWE Creative role.
Since taking over, the WWE Universe received pleasant surprises on the programming via several returns, including one of the biggest names on the roster, Kevin Owens. On the August 8 episode of WWE Raw, Owens appeared in his first match on the show in a couple of months. He brutally attacked his then-rival Ezekiel and sent him out of the building on a stretcher.

This was definitely something sort of action that’s generally performed by a heel character on TV but Owens went completely in the opposite direction. Now, PWInsider is reporting that Owens has been moved to the babyface section of WWE’s internal roster and he’s also acting in the same way on TV. The Prizefighter is back but not as a heel.

Kevin Owens to be a babyface prizefighter on WWE Raw
Owens has been a bonafide heel during his WWE NXT tenure as well as on WWE Raw for the most part of his run. But his in-ring ability and mic work also make him a fan favorite among the hardcore fanbase of the WWE Universe. He main-evented Wrestlemania 38 Night One with Stone Cold Steve Austin, this year.
After the Show of Shows, the former Universal Champion had been involved in a storyline about twin brothers Elias and Ezekiel on WWE Raw. That angle didn’t reach a culmination point and thankfully after Vince McMahon’s resignation, Owens could declare a return to the Prizefighter persona that he portrayed in 2014 on NXT and then also after his debut on the main roster.
Owens has repeatedly been calling out Roman Reigns and the other members of the Bloodline, possibly hinting at a championship opportunity, down the road. Besides a short feud with Men’s Money In The Bank winner Austin Theory on WWE Raw solidified his babyface position.
