Trish Stratus has proven her credibility inside the WWE squared circle at a time when the least set of opportunities was available for the female superstars of the WWE. Now, she is set to prove her skills on the silver screen and that too in a titular role.
As revealed on the official website of the Canadian female professional wrestler, Trish Stratus has landed her first starring movie role, a holiday film that will begin filming, next week. The film set to release in the Holiday season of 2022 will start the shooting process in Canada.
“This holiday season will once again be filled with Stratusfaction!
We are thrilled to reveal that Trish Stratus will star in her very own holiday film, which begins filming in Canada this winter.
After the success of Trish’s cameo appearance in CHRISTMAS IN THE ROCKIES, released on DVD last year, she was offered the lead in a holiday movie set for release at the end of 2022,” the official website stated about the film.
Trish Stratus also took to Twitter no note that she’s indeed playing the lead role of the film about which additional details are yet to come out.
“I’m so excited to take on this role,” she wrote. “I love the character – there are many parallels to my own life. I can’t wait to create more Christmas magic.”

Trish Stratus wants to face Sasha Banks
Trish Stratus was rumored to be a part of the Women’s Royal Rumble match, this past Saturday night but that wasn’t the case. Originally, her retirement match took place at Summerslam 2019 against current Smackdown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair which took place in Trish’s hometown of Toronto. But she still could make a comeback to be a part of a dream match against Sasha Banks.
Recently, Sasha Banks decided to call out Trish Stratus for a match, again. The six-time women’s champion made it clear that she is still waiting for the WWE Hall of Famer to accept her challenge.
Then on speaking on VIBE 105 Sports, Trish Stratus talked about squaring off against Banks in the future. She admitted that the idea of facing the top WWE female superstar is quite intriguing,
“I think fans would love to see that. I would love to whoop her butt and prove that I’m the best, and, you know, stuff like that. So yeah, let’s leave it with that little button and say, ‘Perhaps, one day, if I decide to go back in the ring, I mean, I may have to deliver a little Stratusfaction to The Boss.”
