Professional wrestling legend and WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus who is also a former seven times WWE Women’s champion recently talked about her recent return to action and wrestling at WrestleMania 39 with some of her best friends.
Becky Lynch once having a long rivalry with Bayley and her Damage CTRL faction but the numbers game was always heavy on her. Before WrestleMania 39 she brought some support with herself as WWE Hall of Famer Lita joined her to help her. The duo went on challenge Damage CTRL for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship.
Trish Stratus Discusses Returning To Action And Wrestling At WrestleMania 39
They defeated Damage CTRL in an episode of Monday Night RAW to win the WWE Women’s Tag Team championships. When the numbers game was still heavy on them, Lita’s best friend Trish Stratus joined them to help them against Damage CTRL.
At WrestleMania 39, a six women Tag Team match was booked where Damage CTRL had to take on the team of Trish and the new WWE Women’s Tag Team champions Lita and Becky Lynch. The match was really big, however, a lot of fans were disappointed that the Women’s Tag Team championships were not defended at the Grandest Stage of them all.
Trish Stratus who is also a former seven times WWE Women’s champion recently spoke to Adam Silverstein on Getting Over where she talked about her recent return to action and wrestling at WrestleMania 39 with some of her best friends. She said;
“Everything has been pretty smooth, to be honest. I know there were little online rumblings, but everything happens for a reason. There are definitely a lot of gut intuitions going into making these decisions, and I think we landed at the right place at the right time. I’m excited where it landed. It’s just enough time before Mania, it’s the right dynamic, the right timing.
“The girls have the tag team titles, unexpected. What a moment. Nobody expected that. For me, there was so much buzz about me, people forgot about me, then I surprised them again. Everything played out really well, I think, in a way where this world can be predicted, ‘ah, we know what’s happening tonight,’ I think we did it in a nice way that it’s exciting and people didn’t know what’s coming next.
“Still, there is so much more that can happen between now and Mania. It’s exciting. There is a good build up now, because when I came back for Charlotte, we didn’t have much time to build it. Here, we have a nice little bit of time to build into Mania.”
