Two times WWE Hall of Famer Booker T recently looked back at the surprising defeat of Cody Rhodes by the hands of Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 39. The former five times WCW World Heavyweight Champion explained how WWE could recreate KofiMania if Cody won.
Ever since Cody Rhodes made his return to WWE at WrestleMania 38, he had been presented as a main eventer. This was the first time in his long wrestling career that he had been treated as the top star of any big promotion. He achieved back to back victories over Seth Rollins that established him as a top star of WWE.

Unfortunately, he picked up a massive injury just before Hell in c Cell whoch sidelined him from action for eight long months. He returned at Royal Rumble to win the men’s Royal Rumble match and earned the opportunity to face Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 39 for the WWE Undisputed Universal Heavyweight Championship.
He was a big favorite to dethrone Roman Reigns and a lot of fans was routing for him. But once again, Roman Reigns remained the supreme force of WWE when he defeated Cody Rhodes to retain his title. It was Cody’s first defeat since his return to WWE in 2022 and it was heartbreaking for his fans.
Booker T Wanted Cody Rhodes To Win At WrestleMania 39
WWE legend Booker T recently talked about Cody’s defeat at WrestleMania 39 and explained what he thought “[I like] Cody having to go through adversity and not just coming to WWE and getting the title,” Booker T continued, “Cody comes in from AEW, wins the title immediately — Where do you go from there?”
The former WWE World Heavyweight Champion also explained his desire to see Cody Rhodes challenging Seth Rollins for the World Heavyweight title, “WWE Raw” in this year’s draft, he will likely seek Seth Rollins’ World Heavyweight Championship moving forward.”
Cody Rhodes is currently involved in a feud with Brock Lesnar which is likely to end before or at Summerslam. He could definitely go on to challenge for the World Heavyweight Championship as both are on RAW. The American Nightmare’s main event push will definitely continue and the new World title would definitely be a piece of cherry on top of it.
