The retirement of Triple H was one of the most heartbreaking things for any professional wrestling fan. He had been the biggest attraction of WWE for over 2 decades. He was one of the biggest inventions of Vince McMahon. There were a lot of dream matches that were already planned for him but unfortunately, we could never get to see those matches ever again.

Tyson Kidd Compares Triple H’s Retirement With His Own

Recently it was confirmed that AJ Styles wanted to have a match with Triple H at WrestleMania 37. But Hunter did not agree to have the match by saying that he was not physically prepared to have such a high voltage match. But he did not deny the possibility of the match in future. Unfortunately the dream match will never take place.

Hunter had been one of the most successful wrestlers in WWE history. He won the WWE World Championship for a total of 14 Times which is nothing less than a record. The only wrestler who has more Championship reigns than him is John Cena who has 16 World Championship reigns. Randy Orton also has 14 world title reigns.

At the beginning of the Night Two of WrestleMania 38, Hunter appeared, left his boots in the ring and left the arena. It was a very emotional moment and one of the most silent retirements in the world of professional wrestling. Triple H will always be considered as one of the biggest names in the history of professional wrestling and he will be missed.

“Yeah, I mean obviously it’s a similar situation to me where it was taken out of his hands. He didn’t have a say with his heart condition. It was forced upon him. While it’s still so new to him, I haven’t spoken with him. Even if he’s having a hard time now, it’s something that he might look back on in a few years and be like ‘Well, in a weird way it’s okay this happened because the decision is made for you.’

“I’ve seen people not be happy with these decisions and it eats at them. I wrestled him a couple of times, had a couple of matches against DX. It was always a great experience wrestling him and competing with him. He’s the guy who was behind all of my NXT stuff. NXT was his thing, if he didn’t want me there he could have easily said no.”
