Roman Reigns had been the most dominant champion in WWE for more than three decades. He is holding the WWE Universal heavyweight championship for more than 1000 days and he is the first wrestler to have such a long title reign in 36 long years. The last wrestler you have a title reign for more than 1000 days is Hulk Hogan.
He is often regarded as the Head of the Table and he is currently the face of WWE. He had been projected as the face of the promotion as soon as he made his WWE debut and Vince McMahon always had big plans for him. It took a little time but finally WWE managed to build him as the right successor of John Cena.
Unspoken Wish: Paul Heyman Opens Up About the Opponent He Wants for Roman Reigns
Paul Heyman, who is the Special Counsel of Roman recently revealed the name of the wrestler that he wished the Tribal Chief could face who has already conquered almost all the big names of WWE. Speaking on “The Pat McAfee Show” The Special Counsel of The Head of the Table said;
“That’s really Roman’s greatest challenge in life is topping himself,” Heyman mused. “The Roman Reigns of tomorrow has to be better than the Roman Reigns of today, and the Roman Reigns two days from now needs to be better than the Roman Reigns tomorrow.
Paul Heyman Wishes Roman Reigns Could Face Himself
“So the only true ‘challenger’ to Roman Reigns is himself, that he has to be constantly better; he can never truly peak because once he peaks, that’s it, we’ve reached the apex, it’s time to go do something else. But in challenging himself to be greater tomorrow than he is today … then we are constantly evolving and ‘The Tribal Chief’ gets better and better.'”
Roman became the first wrestler in WWE history to defend the world championship in three back to back WrestleMania events and also the wrestler who managed to retain his title. Nobody else in WWE, not even the great Hulk Hogan good achieve such a milestone. Surely he would be walking in as the champion in WrestleMania 40 to increase the count.
Speaking of WrestleMania 40, there had already been a number of names that are rumoured to face Roman at the Grandest Stage of them all next year. One of the biggest rumoured names to face him at WrestleMania 40 is Cody Rhodes. Solo Sikoa has also come out as one of the biggest favourite to face him at the mentioned event.
